Zakat ul Fitr

Zakat-ul-Fitr must be paid before Eid prayers in order to qualify as Zakat-ul-Fitr. It is obligatory on each Muslim young or old, male or female, rich or poor to give Zakat-ul-Fitr if he has food exceeding his and his dependents’ needs for one day and one night. A Muslim must pay on his own behalf and on the behalf of financial dependents that he is obligated to support such as his children and wife. IAR uses contributed funds to purchase and deliver food to qualified recipients.
